Welcome to Outrageous Fiction, a gateway to fast-paced adventures, found families, and all the snark you care to entertain.
Who We Are
Individually, we are Kathleen McClure, Kelley McKinnon, and L. Gene Brown. Collectively we create outrageous stories of distant worlds, all populated by living, breathing, flawed characters engaged in all manner of hijinks, heists, and mysteries.
If you’re looking for analogues, think of authors Martha Wells and Terry Pratchett, or the television shows Leverage, and Strange New Worlds.
About Our Worlds
At present, Outrageous Fiction includes two series: The Fortune Chronicles and The Zodiac Files.
The Fortune Chronicles take place in the distant future on the planet Fortune, where tech is low, tensions high, and heroes unlikely. Think Firefly meet's Anne McCaffery's Pern novels.
The Zodiac Files are a spy-fi space opera set in a high tech future populated by a multitude of species (or, as Kathleen loves to say, "Spies! In space!").
No matter the universe, all of our stories feature character-driven adventures, found families, optimistic futures, and yes, all the snark you care to entertain.
